Harry Walsh was aiming to make it three in a row having won the competition for the past two years. Alex and Gus fought hard in the boxes but it was Fenella Twohig-Howell that made it through to the final to challenge Harry.

In the third place playoff Gus managed to overturn the box result beating Alex. 

The final was set for a close match, Harry had only just mastered the handicap to claim a 6-5 victory over Fenella in the boxes. The earlier experience seemed to have served Harry better than Fenella with harry increasing the winning margin for the final winning 6-3.
