Oxford win Field Trophy

Oxford won the Field Trophy Final with a rubber to spare against Moreton Morrell at Hampton Court. Oxford took the first two rubbers, the no3 singles and no2 doubles before Moreton club champion Tom Bomford kept the tie alive with a thrilling three set victory over Rob Walker in the no1 singles rubber. Moreton no2 Patrick Sutton then lost in straight sets to Oxford’s Will Morse to leave the match at 3-2 with only the no1 doubles to go. Match report to follow.
